About Arizona Criminal History

Arizona criminal records are divided among several public bodies. The Arizona Department of Public Safety maintains the Central State Repository, the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry tracks state custody, and Arizona DPS operates the Arizona Sex Offender Registry through OffenderWatch. Courts and sheriffs in all 15 counties retain the original local files. Arizona Criminal History organizes those separate routes so readers can identify the statewide system or county office that holds the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Access in Arizona depends on asking the correct custodian. Arizona DPS holds fingerprint-linked arrest and disposition information in the Central State Repository, but it does not offer the general public a statewide name search of other people's rap sheets. The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry covers sentenced state prisoners. OffenderWatch publishes the part of the Arizona Sex Offender Registry that state law makes public, while the Judicial Branch indexes court cases. Arrest reports, bookings, jail rosters, and original case documents remain local. Arizona Criminal History brings those routes together and provides a separate resource site for each county, with local offices, portals, contacts, and fee guidance.

What We Cannot Do

Arizona Criminal History is a privately operated reference site, not an Arizona court, police agency, sheriff's office, or state department. Those boundaries mean the site cannot:

  • Provide legal advice about a charge, warrant, case, or record-relief option
  • Issue a certified court document, rap sheet, or criminal record
  • Submit a sealing petition, public-record request, or other filing for a visitor
  • Run an official criminal-history check or retrieve a person's government record
  • Promise that an agency's address, fee, phone number, or procedure has not changed

An official copy must come from its source, such as Arizona DPS, the deciding court, or the county agency that created the file. Arizona Criminal History can identify that source but cannot issue the document.

Search Partners

Third-party companies power search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its service, prices, and results.
