Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Arizona Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or submitting a query through a search tool indicates acceptance of every term below. Anyone who does not agree must stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. Arizona Criminal History is privately owned and has no connection to any government body. The website and its advertising partners do not offer a service for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance eligibility decisions, or any other activity regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Arizona Criminal History is neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation service.

1. What This Website Is

Arizona Criminal History is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve records, perform authorized background checks, or submit legal documents on a visitor's behalf.

Its purpose is to identify Arizona custodians, including the Arizona DPS Central State Repository, the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry, Arizona OffenderWatch, state courts, and agencies in all 15 counties. Arizona Public Records Law, A.R.S. § 39-121 et seq., applies to records kept by Arizona public bodies. Criminal-history reporting and dissemination through the repository are separately governed by A.R.S. § 41-1750. Links to third-party research tools may also appear.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the website is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Interfere with website performance or another visitor's access
  • Use bots, scraping software, or other automated collection tools
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any account, service, or system
  • Use the content for credit, hiring, housing, or insurance decisions
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass a person with information found here
  • Violate any applicable local, Arizona, or federal law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use content from Arizona Criminal History or a linked service to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or discriminate against another person. Such conduct may also violate criminal law. This restriction is especially important for Arizona Sex Offender Registry data. Arizona DPS publishes that information for community safety, not vigilantism, blacklisting, housing discrimination, or confrontation, and misuse may lead to prosecution.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Arizona Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create background checks, consumer reports, or credit files. Its advertising partners likewise do not provide a website service intended to screen applicants, review rental eligibility, price insurance, or assess creditworthiness. Information from this website or any linked tool must not be used to:

  • Perform any other function regulated by the FCRA
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Set insurance terms or evaluate creditworthiness
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Make a hiring, firing, or employment decision

A legally required check must be obtained through the authorized Arizona DPS process or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

The website supplies general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Arizona attorney can advise how a charge, conviction, warrant, sealing law, set-aside, or marijuana-expungement rule affects a specific situation.

6. No Warranties

All website content and functions are provided "as is." Arizona Criminal History makes no promise that:

  • An outside search provider will return complete or accurate results
  • Pages will contain no errors, security weaknesses, or bugs
  • Service will always remain available and uninterrupted
  • Information will be complete, accurate, or current at all times

Arizona records change as charges are filed, amended, dismissed, sealed, set aside, or expunged. Updates can lag. Nothing published here is an official statement from Arizona DPS, a court, a sheriff, or any other government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to Arizona agencies, court portals, county clerks and sheriffs, legal-aid groups, and outside search companies. Those destinations are beyond Arizona Criminal History's control. The site assumes no responsibility for their availability, fees, privacy practices, or content. Review the destination's own terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Arizona Criminal History or its content partners own the website's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required before copying, adapting, distributing, or creating derivative material from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arizona Criminal History is not liable for losses or damages arising from website use, including reliance on information obtained here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold Arizona Criminal History harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by that visitor's use of the website or breach of these terms, including associated legal costs and fees.

11. Governing Law

Arizona law governs these terms. Any proceeding related to website use must be brought in a court located within the State of Arizona.

12. Changes to These Terms

Arizona Criminal History may revise these conditions at any time. A revision becomes effective when the updated terms are posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be suspended, restricted, or ended at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be modified only as far as necessary to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
