Questions about official Arizona criminal records must go to the government office that keeps the source file. Arizona Criminal History is a private reference site and cannot answer for an agency or retrieve its records. The routes below distinguish statewide sources from courts, police departments, sheriffs, and other offices in Arizona's 15 counties. Choosing the custodian by record type is the most direct way to request a document or confirm its current status.

This Is Not a Government Office. Arizona Criminal History is privately operated. It cannot obtain official records, conduct authorized checks, change repository information, or receive sealing and expungement filings. Contact the responsible Arizona agency or court instead.

Need an Official Record?

Match the request to the Arizona custodian that creates or maintains that type of record:

  • State custody status: search the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry Inmate Data Search
  • Court cases: use the Arizona criminal court case resources and contact the clerk for the court of record
  • Registry information: use the Arizona DPS Sex Offender Compliance Unit and Arizona OffenderWatch
  • Police and incident reports: request the file from the police agency, sheriff, or Arizona DPS unit that created it
  • Your own repository history: follow the subject-review route through the Arizona DPS Central State Repository
  • Sealing, set-aside, or marijuana expungement: file through the Arizona court designated by the applicable statute
  • Bookings, jail rosters, and local files: choose the relevant county resource site in the Arizona county directory

For questions about reviewing your own statewide criminal history, contact the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Central State Repository Section, P.O. Box 18450, Mail Drop 3110, Phoenix, AZ 85005-8450, (602) 223-2229. Arizona DPS does not provide a general-public name check on another person.
